Pastor Bidwell was saved June 1, 1975 during a service with Dollas Messer; the pastor/director of the Wurzburg Serviceman's Center. The serviceman's center were apart of the Church of God, Cleveland TN. organization. This was while Pastor Bidwell was in the Army. Pastor Bidwell was filled with the Holy Ghost in 1976.

While in Germany Pastor Bidwell was offered By Bro. Dollas Messer the position of Center Coordinator. Through Mon. - Fri. He cleaned and kept up the maintenance of the center.  On the weekends overseen the soldiers that stayed at the center. He taught the Discipleship class on Saturday morning. Pastor Bidwell also helped Moderate service and was on the finance committee.  When Bro. Dollas was away on speaking engagements he was left in charge of the Center and visitors needs.  He taught bible classes, made deposits for the center.  He helped with the witnessing program they had and anything else needed.

In June of 1977 Pastor Bidwell went to England with three friends. Pastor Bidwell and his friends Mark and Bruce ministered at 13 different churches from June - August.  They had revival, VBS, and Witnessing Training Classes.  They did street meetings on the streets, subways, and train stations. They passed out over 75,000 tracks through out England. Seen over 500 people come to the Lord. They were privileged to see them saved in homes, streets, subways, and train stations besides in the services they had.

Pastor Bidwell has been a member of the Church of God since 1976.  He has served in many areas of the church since he has been a member. Pastor Bidwell has taught Sunday School (Jr's, H.S. , Young adults, and adults), Wednesday night F.T.H. Teacher (Jr's, H.S. , Adults), Sunday School Superintendent, Clerk, Finance Committee, Janitor, Men's Fellowship leader, Youth Ministry, Asst. Youth Director, Asst. Finance Committee (Chairman), Western Kentucky Entrance Examination Board, Jail Ministry, Owensboro Police Dept. Volunteer Chaplain, Nursing Home Ministry, worked 13 years of Youth Camps as counselor, and Preached Revivals (Ky, Ind. , Ill, Wis. and England).

Pastor Bidwell was called to preach in Oct. 1978. He went threw the 1st Ministerial Internship Program in Ky. He received his Exhorter's in May 1986, Licence May 1988, and his Ordination May 1992.

Owensboro Wings of Faith COG  O'boro, Ky.  1-25-98 to Present

Pastor Bidwell Has worked with the following groups. NAACP (served on by-laws com.) Owensboro Police Dept. Citizens Academy, Owensboro Police Dept. Citizens Alumni, Dugan Best Neighborhood Alliance, WE THE PEOPLE 21st Century Town Meeting, and Citizens for Good Government.

Our First Lady Mary Jane Bidwell

First lady Mary Jane Bidwell is the 3 Generation in her family to be in the Church of God.  She has been a member of the Church of God since 1965.  She was saved, Sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost in August of 1966 at Echols Church of Gods Basement. First Lady's family attended the Echols church of God for years.  Her Brother Roy and his family are currently still there. She has a Sister who attend the Central City Church of God.

First Lady Mary Jane Bidwell has held many positions in the Church since she has been saved.  She has taught Sunday School  for nursery, Juniors, Teenagers, and Adults. She has Done Girls Clubs. She has served as song leader, piano player, clerk, Ladies President, Youth Leader, and much more.

Spacial events that First Lady has been asked to speak at have been, Ladies Retreat in Lexington, Ky. She was asked to teach a craft.  She also has spoken at Ladies Retreats locally for First Lady Melissa Tucker at the Shining Light Worship Center in Drakesboro, Ky.  First Lady also does a Raggedy Jane Ministry.  She was able to do several Bible Schools for other churches in the past. 

First Lady has also done many Christmas and Easter Plays on witch she has been able to see souls saved and changed. 

First Lady works a full time job at the call center in the Hospital in Owensboro.  She has a diploma in Par-legal and hopes to further her education. 

First Lady Mary is a Breast Cancer Surviver of soon to be 9 years in July of 2008.  She had the faith that God will heal her and he did.  She has shown what faith really is to many people threw this cancer.  She is a fighter!  She shows us what a real prayer warrior is and there are not many of those around in the church any more.

Pastor And First Lady Bidwell have been Married for 30 years.  They where married October 22, 1977, at Echols Church of God.  They met threw Dollas Messer.  They have 2 children Melissa and Joshua.  Melissa is married to Minister David M. Tucker, they have one 2 year old Son Dylan and a new little girl Jalyn.  Joshua is married to Misty and they have 4 children. Twin boys Tristan and Christian who are 9, Landon 6, and Kayslee 5.  Both  Children and their families are currently helping the Bidwells at Wings of Faith Church of God.

The Bidwells have Pastored 3 churches in all the years they have been Pastoring.  1st church was 9th st. Church of God, Cold Springs Church of God, Parksridge Church of God, and then Deliverance Tabernacle which is now Wings of Faith church of God (originally 9th St Church of God).
